Timetables: Bus, train and shipping traffic

Bus connexions

You can reach Sóller cheap and easy by bus. Buses to and from Palma leave quite regular every day, although not very late at night.

From the airport you can take a bus to Plaça Espanya and from there to Sóller taking line L211 or L210. From Sóller, the bus towards Ca´n Picafort makes it possible to reach many absorbing hiking trails of the northern Tramuntana without a car.

Train and Tram: Tren de Sóller

The historical train connection is more of a tourist attraction nowadays than real public transport. Of course you can combine your shopping trip in Palma with a unique ride on the “Red Lightning”.

Boat trips

In the habour of Sóller there one Ferry company: “Barcos Azules”. Preferred destination is “Sa Calobra”, the estuary mouth of the well known “Torrent de Pareis”. Tour Operators combine that trip with their trip around the island by bus, train and tram to that specific destination which makes it a busy place with a lot of tourist groups. But individual travelers can reach this destination as well as others like Cala Tuent, Cap Formentor or Andratx.

Destinations and timetables vary throughout the season and depend on weather conditions as well. Those depending on a connexion for the return of a hiking trip should alway make shure that there´s a connexion on that specific day.
